New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1944. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good /Good. Medium blue boards (depressed dots) with orange sillouette & printing. Orange & white endpaper illustration of Nancy with spyglass. Plain paper frontis by Tandy. Front flap lists to this title. Rear flap lists 12 Dana Girls titles, and rear panel lists 15 Judy Bolton books. Poor quality wartime pages tanned. Board edges slightly darkened and soft at corners. Jacket flap (with P.C.J.) has a 1-1/2" closed tear. Bright illustration on front of dj, white spine. Half-inch and smaller chips at corners and top edges, not affecting text. Dusty & rubbed rear panel. Appears to be first edition, 1944A per Farah's Guide.
