The publication presents insights into the activist-artists explorations of self-identification, the role of gender and aggression, and the representation of feminine sexuality.Includes a stapled press release from the New Museum, a folded pamphlet featuring an interview with Nancy Spero produced on the occasion of her first solo exhibition at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art in 1988, and a folded color silkscreen print by Spero printed on both sides and signed in a screen. Print: 12" x 18' open, 12" x 4 1/2" folded.Signed with a dedication to Edit DeAk. Includes invitation to the opening event at the New Museum.Also includes Nancy Spero, Rebirth of Venus, published by ArT Random with brief text by Robert Storr in Japanese and English in a series edited by Edit DeAk.
