L, 644 pgs. . 74 engravings and photos, 13 maps (including color folding map mounted on cloth in pocket at the rear) , 8 sketches of coastline. First Edition/First Printing. Bound in cloth boards with titles present to the spine and front board. Boards have shelf-wear present to the extremities (crown of the spine lightly chipped and worn). Light foxing present. Previous owner's name present to the FFEP. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. Largely based on Hall's own manuscripts. In addition to exploration, the purpose of the voyage was to solve the mystery of the disappeared Franklin expedition -- to no avail. However, Hall was able to provide a lot of information about Inuit living. EB; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
