Original publisher's blind-stamped limp brown cloth, lettered in gilt to spine. Lightly rubbed, sunned, paper library shelf-label to foot of spine. Hinges exposed, bookplate of the Swansea Training College to FEP, inked shelf-marks to recto of FFEP, portrait plate foxed. The sole edition of a succinct history of the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge in particular their successes in establishing charity schools. . First edition. 8vo.
