San Francisco: George Fields, 1938. First edition. . 4to. Beige pictorial cloth, designed in green. Frontispiece and several full-page illustrations. A bit of separation to inner front hinge, in general a clean and attractive copy. Limited to 450 copies signed by Saroyan, this copy is out-of-series, not numbered or signed on the colophon leaf. It is inscribed from Saroyan on a preliminary leaf: "For William Wermuth / sincerely / William Saroyan".
