Octavo; full contemporary green diced calf, elaborately gilt-tooled spine with red gilt spine label; xxiii,[1],640pp.; text illus. throughout. Boards lightly rubbed at margins and spine ends, spine a shade toned and gilt starting to flake, early 20th-century ownership ex libris to front pastedown, else a Very Good, quite attractive copy. Date of publication based on Preface to this edition, which is dated Sept. 15, 1836.
