Pp. xxxvii, 653; 45 full page lithographed plates and maps, (32 are hand-colored, 8 maps and geological charts are very large and folding), some text-figures and charts. 710pp as: 38pp front-matter, 654pp text & index, 18pp errata & explanation of plates. 46 Plates, many hand-colored, 10 are foldouts. Colored endpapers, two with Cazenovia Public Library stamp. Dark brown Buckram cover as shown with this listing is rubbed, bumped and chipped, the cloth at the head of the spine is slightly frayed. Blind embossing on front and back cover, gilt stamping on front board and spine. Binding is intact, edges aged, text is mottled, tanned and cockled.

Many woodcuts throughout the text, 17 plates, some hand-colored, 10 foldouts (plate IV has a small tear). Colored endpapers with Cazenovia stamps and cards. FFEP signed by Fred Hubbard who donated the books to the library. Edges aged, text appears clean and unmarked, although there is some cockling. Dark brown Buckram cover as shown with this listing is rubbed, bumped and chipped. Blind embossing on front and back cover, gilt stamping on front board and spine.
