Edinburgh:: (1833). Hardback. Full leather binding. An early nineteenth century edition of this classic of natural history. x,356pp. Lacks two leaves from the poems section of the prelims and possibly missing one plate. Frontis and seven further paltes. Full calf binding with raise bands to spine and black leather label. gilt ruled borders to bands and gilt titles. Bevelled boards. Boards impressed with diamond texture. Marbled endpapers. Some loss to head of spine. Leather is dull and scuffed. Front hinge is very fragile being split internally and with some cracking to the leather externally. Text block is sound and square. Fair . Hardback. 1833.
