Sir William Jardine was a 19th-century Scottish naturalist most known for his extensive series of books on natural history, 'The Naturalist's Library'.

This edition of Jardine's 'Mammalia' is beautifully color illustrated with 34 engravings of various species of large rodents! The plates from Jardine's works are exceedingly desirable and are found framed and displayed by themselves. This volume showcases illustrations and descriptions of squirrels, mongoose, platypus, porcupines, and other similar animals.
