Edinburgh: W. H. Lizars , 1845. Frontispiece portrait and memoir of Cuvier, with three title pages including engraved series title page. 3rd title page for The Natural History of the Feline title page states "illustrated by thirty-eight colour plates", however Contents page lists plates numbered up to 34, and there are 32 plates with tissue guards present. Bound in contemporary half calf over marbled boards, brown end papers, black calf labels with gilt lettering and rules back, Very Good, boards rubbed at edges, evidence of small sticker removal front at end page, small binder's stamp appears to read Walker, ? Strand. Uncommon in the 1845 first edition. . First Edition. Half Calf. Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
