Marbled endpapers. Description: Frontis portrait plate; the title page is printed in red and black. Several illustrations in black and white and in sepia tones. This was originally published for private circulation in 1913. Some random recollections precede the main text which is divided into four sections: Progress and Development of the Business; Interesting Specimens and New Discoveries; Some Noted Big-Game Sportsmen, and section four which provides information on author and publisher, scientific collections acquired, and presentation to museums. Rowland Ward (1848-1912) was a British taxidermist and founder of the firm that bore his name, a firm renowned for handling big game trophies.
