London: Unwin, 1898. First edition.. Original brown cloth, designed and lettered in gilt. Old stain to upper corner, a few marks to cloth, a very good copy. Inscribed by the author on the front end paper, "With Kind Regards / Wesley Mills". Mills was an important Canadian physiologist, and a close associate of William Osler.
