About This Item

New Tirj : The Review of Reviews Company, 1904. Book. Illus. by each of 14 volumes has a frontispiece, mostly of Roosevelt. Very Good. Hardcover. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. This complete set of 14 voumes was published when Teddy Roosevelt was still President, hence legitimately called The Statesman Edition. Original red cloth, very clean and tight, hinges all fine. The white and gilt lettering on the spines vary some (see images) but all are readable. His first book, the Naval War of 1812 is 2 volumes; Winning of the West is 4, and Presidential Addresses is 2. The other 6 titles are one volume each. This set does not appear to have been read, they are so clean and tight inside. No prior owner marks. One volume is much faded on the front board but overall the set is in very nice shape. Roosevelt the reformer, the naturalist, the lover of exercise and hunting in the outdoors, provides much pleasure and admiration..
