Includes illustrated frontispiece. In The Boy Pioneer Series. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. Hinges are cracked with exposed netting. Cracking to gutters, with exposed netting. Moderate thumb-marking present throughout. Pencil inscription to heavily tanned reverse of frontispiece. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Some crushing to spine ends. Fraying of cloth to top and tail of spine and corners. Gilt lettering is slightly darkened. Some moderate water staining to rear. Book has a slight forward lean. Thumb marking to boards prominent. Sunning to spine and edges.
