Chatto and Windus, 1908. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1908. New Impression. 325 pages. No dust jacket. Black cloth. Moderate foxing and tanning to pages with heavier foxing and tanning to pastedowns and endpapers. Slight dog-eared pages throughout and visible rough cut edges and foxing to text block edges. There is cracks to guttering with exposed netting. Boards have visible rubbing and fair bumping to corners. Notable crushing to spine ends and heavier sunning to spine. There is fraying to cloth at corners and spine ends.
Synopsis
New Arabian Nights by Robert Louis Stevenson, first published in 1882, is a collection of short stories previously published in magazines between 1877 and 1880. The collection contains Stevenson's first published fiction, and a few of the stories are considered by some critics to be his best work, as well as pioneering works in the English short story tradition.
