Handsomely bound collection of illustrated romanticized reveries about New England, its scenery, its people, its life, its seasons, etc. Contains many tissue-protected engraved plates after L. Faber, E. Heinemann, G. P. Williams, G. T. Andrew, many others, plus many smaller engravings within the text. Teal blue cloth over beveled boards, gilt lettering, elaborate decoration in black and light blue, all edges gilt, 243 pages. Some rubbing to the corners and spine ends, good hinges, firm text block, very clean pages, no names or other markings.. Hard Cover. Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
