New York: Harper & Brothers, Publishers, 1857. First edition. Hardcover. Very good. 4to. 605pp. Publisher's black cloth, gilt spine title. Hand-colored double page map frontispiece. Illustrated. Cloth worn at edges and in spots, mainly on the read board, else this is a very good copy.
The author traveled through New Granada (now Colombia and Panama) in 1852-1854. Many consider this the best travel book for the area.
