Full title reads: "The New and Improved Practical Gardener, and Modern Horticulturist; Exhibiting the Latest and Most Approved Management of Kitchen, Fruit, and Flower Gardens, the Green-House, Hot-House, Conservatory, &c. &c. For Every Month in the Year Enriched with Numerous Wood-Cuts and Illustrations. With An Appendix, on the New Tank System of Producing Bottom Heat, &c." Rebound in Dark green buckram cloth with gilt titles to the spine. Condition very good, binding is fine, a few spots to frontispiece, title and last couple of pages, a few spots to odd text pages here and there else the contents are clean. Contains engraved frontispiece portrait of Charles McIntosh and 10 x beautifully hand coloured plates, each plate depicting four different flowers, and many numerous black and white in-text illustrations and diagrams. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall
