The New Men begins in 1939 and deals with the development in England of the atomic bomb and the feelings of the scientists working on it, particularly Martin Eliot. C.P. Snow was awarded the James Tait Black Memorial Prize of 1954 for The New Men, together with the Masters. Both novels are part of the 'Lewis Eliot' Sequence of Novels, called Strangers and Brothers. 311 pages. Dust jacket is chipped, rubbed and bumped along edges and corners. Shelf worn. Blue covers in very good condition. Gilt lettering on spine. Interior clean with a very good binding. Remnants of old price sticker on ffep. Slight yellowing of pages. Very nice copy.. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. Illus. by Sidney Nolan (jacket design). 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
