Original green-brown ribbed cloth with pink paper spine label, spine splitting at the front edge at the top, old tape marks at top and bottom of each board, faint marginal foxing of the first few leaves, else a very good copy. *SMYTH John Dalton, A Bibliography, #11, who does not mention the leaf with the Preface to the Second Edition. PREFACE TO THE SECOND EDITION - 'The first Edition of this part of the work having been out of print for some years, the Author has been induced at the request of several of his friends to publish a second Edition, without making any material alteration in it.'
