London, John Murray, 1824 Hardcover book . A new edition corrected. 449 pages with engraved frontispiece and nine other plates, all present. a nice complete copy of this scarce cookery volume prepared by one of the well know cookery experts of her day. The first page is for the use of the mistress of the family and begins " In every rank, those deserve the greatest praise , who best aquit themselves of the duties which their station requires" This copy has been rebound in dark green covers with gilt title to spine , new end-papers with inscription by a previous owner dated 1926 possibly when it was rebound, Contents are generally clean with some odd foxing spots and light wear to page and plate edges. Binding firm. Pictures available.
