NEVER REPRINTED after the early 70's, this controversial study traces the history of 7 projects under one of President Lyndon Johnson's programs, and why each project failed. HARD TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION, this FIRST PAPERBACK EDITION features a Foreword by Joseph A Califano, who prior to this book was a Special Assistant to President Johnson, and who later became Secretary of Housing, Education and Welfare from 1971 to 1973. This 6" x 8 7/8" paperback has 103 pages. Overall book is NEAR FINE. Pages = Fine: very slight yellowing, else very clear, tight, sharp, no marks. Cover (beige-pink urban designed glossy paper with white river running through it, particulars in black) = Very Good Plus: 2 creases on front, ink staining to back, yet sharp, tight, colorful and clear, with no tears or chipping.
