About This Item
First edition. The text is in Italian.
One of Tuscany's most beautiful monastic complexes, the Monastery and Church of San Niccolo was built between 1323 and 1328 as a monastery for Dominican nuns. The structure was expanded throughout the centuries until it became a conservatory at the end of the 18th century. The monastery served as a Catholic school for girls with a curriculum covering early childhood education through secondary school.
