Alameda: Henry Reed Taylor, 1893. Staplebound wraps. Very Good. [Ornithology][19th century Naturalists] 1894-1896. Seven (7) issues of The Nidiologist The Nidiologist was first published in Alameda, California in September 1893. In 1896 the journal changed its name to The Nidologist and publication changed to New York City. Publication of The Nidologist suspended after volume IV, no. 9, 1897 and merged into the Popular Science Monthly. Wood in his Bookseller Inventory [p.492], remarks that, "This well-edited magazine practically continued the defunct Ornithologist and Oologist. It published during its relatively short life many papers of importance from the pens of scientific ornithologists throughout the country.
