London: Faber and Faber. 1978. First edition, first impression. First edition, first impression. Signed and from the collection of the dustwrapper illustrator. Publisher's original orange cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in the David Griffiths illustrated dustwrapper. A very near fine copy, the binding square and firm, the cloth and gilt lettering bright and fresh. The contents are clean throughout with stamps or inscriptions. The upper edge of the text block very lightly spotted. Complete with the lightly rubbed and spine faded dustwrapper, that is spotted to the flaps otherwise without loss or tears. Not price-clipped (correct £4.95 net to the front flap). With the ownership signature of the dustwrapper illustrator David Griffiths in black ink to the front endpaper.
