About This Item

A tale of blackmail and suspense concerning a traveling salesman who witnesses a fatal automobile accident on Interstate 15 involving a California gubernatorial hopeful and "his comely passanger - one of Las Vegas' statuesque hookers." Trevor (1920-95), a British novelist, is remembered for his adventure story The Flight of the Phoenix (1964) and his series of Cold War thrillers featuring the secret agent Quiller, written under the pseudonym Adam Hall. Octavo. Original blue paper-covered boards over a black cloth spine, with gilt titles. Very light fading along the extremities of the boards, with just a hint of edgewear to the dust jacket; else near fine.
