The sole UK printing published by Martin Secker in 1922. The BOOK is in Very Good++ condition. The limited edition, being one of only 500 copies issued signed by the author to the limitation page. Light pushing at the spine tips. Original black cloth with printed label to the spine which is clean and complete. Black top-stain is present. Slightly rolled spine with light spotting to the prelims, end-papers and edges. Free from inscriptions. Blue patterned end-papers (possibly designed by E. McKnight Kauffer). The WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good+ condition.Lightly spotted in places with a short closed tear to the upper spine and a chip to the upper rear edge. The wrapper design by E. McKnight Kauffer is striking in the removable Brodart archival cover. One of McKnight Kauffer's most striking period wrapper designs and very scarce as such.
