Section of B & W photos. Author's foreword states: "This story was told to me in 1955 by Elizabeth McCallum. It is a true story, and I have tried to tell it as it was told to me. The photographs were given to me by Archie McCallum." From the back cover: "She was a young school teacher, and he was a homesteader with sawmilling in his blood. When he asked her to marry him, she never dreamed of the places they would go, or the situations she would find herself in. But it wouldn't have mattered -- she'd have married him anyway." Set in the interior of British Columbia and the North, following the lives of Tom and Elizabeth McCallum from 1911-1961. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
