About This Item

London, England: London, UK: Chas. J Clark, 1894, 1st edition, First Printing, 1894. ------------( 1st printing of the First Edition ) ---limp hardcover, red cloth, a solid Good to Very Good wxample, externally this is quite nice although there is some light soiling to the red covers, browning to the verso of the blank free endpapers, front free endpaper is completely detached but present, 23 pages, b&w photos, this copy has been signed and dated in pencil on the (loose) front blank endpaper " Ian Hay 2.1.45 ", as well there are a number of pencil noattaions by Ian Hay on the blank facing the dedication page, quite scarce and a nice association copy as Hay was a well known and respected author of fiction and non fiction military literature, HAY released "The History of the King's Bodyguard for Scotland ( 1676-1950 )" in 1950 so this book could have been one of many used for that book, any image directly beside this listing is the actual book and not a generic photo ///SIGNED ---GUARANTEED to be AVAILABLE/// ---sizes are approximate (generally within 1/8 inch)---. Signed (see description). First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good (see description)/No Jacket as issued. Illus. by Text Cover. 5.5w x 8.5h Inches.
