Original publisher's binding in half green shagreen, spine with 4 raised bands, in compartments gilt lettered and decorated; blind tooled green buckram boards (demi chagrin vert, dos à nerfs orné aux fers dorés; plats en percaline estampée à froid). ¶ Very good and complete copy of the last and best edition of this homeopathic classic. Next to Hahnemann, Jahr was one of the greatest figures in the history of homeopathy (although beiong a laymen). This work was first published in 1840. Rozet A 431 ; Rabanes/Sarembaud p. 158 ff. --( Some scattered slight foxing; corners slightly rubbed; 1 corner cracked - Bon état, reliures solides et décoratives.
