William Blackwood and Sons Ltd, 1894. Reprint. Leather Binding. Good. 8 volume set (bound in 7 volumes), complete as issued. Bound in 3/4 red calf over marbled boards, spines with raised bands, gilt floral tooling, and an unusual alternation of contrasting yellow/gold and green morocco spine labels between volumes, marbled endpapers and edges (bindings rubbed, some wear to hinges and nicking to spine tips). B/w Illustrations. As is common with this set, Volumes II and IV are bound together ('Silas Marner' and 'Scenes of Clerical Life'). Each volume bears a gift inscription from Christmas, 1894 on verso of front endpaper.
