Liverpool: printed by J. M'creery, for Cadell and Davies, Strand, London, 1800. . Hardcover. Very Good. Octavo. 31, [i], 89, [iii], 34pp. With the half-title lacking in this copy. Second edition. The poem has parallel Italian and English texts. The work is in three parts: the life of Tansillo, 'The nurse' and 'Notes' on The nurse, each with its own pagination. The register is continuous. Contemporary tree calf, somewhat worn. With an engraved title-page, woodcut engravings before each canto (2), one at the head of the Inscription, and a small tailpiece afterwards. These have been attributed to Thomas Bewick by some, but are more likely by Bewick's apprentice, Henry Hole. ESTC T97230.
