Heavy shelfwear to DJ: scuffing along edges, many large tears and missing pieces along edges and spine, light tanning and smudges. DJ in mylar. Previous owner's inscription on front endpaper, light tanning along page edges, front and rear spine hinges are cracked. Volume is in Fair condition..

Beautiful colour frontis by the author and 11 further colour plates with paintings showing the costume design for the characters from the plays. Six plays: The Princess and the Pea, The Prince who was a Swineherd, The Pied Piper of Hamelin, Harlequinade at an Inn, The Willow tree and The Mother. Plays written for the children of Oafield SChool Arnside. Dark tan cloth darkened to edges and rubbed. Gilt titles to front are bright. Spine is faded and the backstrip is detached to one side and slit 2.5 down from the top on the other. Text is clean and the charming fairy tale paintings are very clean and neat. Reading copy only .
