Norwich printed for John Harding, London, 1806. First edition. Two folding engraved plates. 8vo (9 x 5 3/4 inches), pages: xviii:19-121:(3,blank):(3:1:4, lists of Agricultural books printed for John Harding). Later binder's cloth, uncut; binding warped, frontispiece detached but undamaged, internally good. A scarce early; work by William Smith (1769-1839), who is known as "the Father of English Geology", and famous for producing the first geological map of Britain, published in 1815.
