Loosely inserted is an original letter dated 17th January 1989 from Basil Herring, one of the architects working for the practice of Harry W Weedon, to a previous colleague, Clarence Smith, reminiscing about working with Weedon. Also loosely inserted are a couple of photocopied letters dated 1937 confirming Clarence Smith's appointment as junior assistant in the office of Harry Weedon.176pp. Many b/w photographic illustrations. This book is a pictorial survey of the cinemas which were specifically built for the original Odeon circuit, and not those taken over by the company and renamed Odeon.
