Sandys, who has supplied a life of Pindar and introductions to the odes. Pindar was a lyric poet of ancient Greece whose work was held in high regard by his fellow poets. With frontis image of both sides of three ancient Sicilian silver coins. Indexed. Entry 56 in the Loeb Classical Library series, edited by E. H. Warmington. --- A 1968 printing, in full olive cloth-covered boards with publisher's device to cover, titling and classical decorations to spine; all in gilt. Simple jacket in green with Loeb medallion to cover. --- With penciled notations to perhaps as many as 6 leaves, otherwise lacking damages worthy of mention.
