About This Item
Paris: Marcel Sautier, 1957. Near Fine/Near Fine. Jacques Villon. #181 OF 185 COPIES SIGNED BY BOTH THE POET ROBERT GANZO AND THE ARTIST JACQUES VILLON at the limitation. A very sharp copy to boot of the 1957 1st edition. Clean and Near Fine in its original wrappers, with a crisp, Near Fine glassine dustjacket. And also including the publisher's printed cloth chemise and outer slipcase, which shows some staining at its rear panel. 8 original etchings by Jacques Villon beautifully complement the text and, with their original tissue guards in place, have remained in pristine condition. Quarto, all signatures loose, as issued. An impressive collaboration between the poet, artist and publisher.
