Louis Cellot, Paris/London, 1768. First Edition. Hardcover. Good Condition. Note that it is correct for this edition that Vols. 6 and 7 have a London imprint. Good, clean and sound copy. Original spines missing, replaced with good quality plain tan calf, paper spine label to each volume, neatly lettered in ink. Original marbled endpapers. Boards rubbed and bumped at edges. Old ownership inscriptions on front free endpaper. All edges gilt. Two portrait frontispieces in vol. 1 ( Corneille and Racine ), both by Gaucher, 12 other plates by H. Gravelot contained in the first five volumes. Text blocks generally very clean. Some minor browning and staining around the endpapers. A few pages loosening where they meet the inner joints. 7 vols., complete, full collation on request. Approx. size 7.5" by 5". Text is in French. Quantity Available: 1.
