Marbled endsheets. 12mo (6.5" x 4"). An esteemed reprinting of the Le Duchat Edition ( 1711 ). Brunet 4; 1059 Illustrated with an engraved pictorial half-title page, frontis,3 folding engraved plates a folding map and various page decorations throughout. Covers and spines well rubbed. Several joints starting but all covers are firmly attatched. Several head pieces lacking. Several tiny insect holes to spine label of volume 1. Several plates lightly toned with one or two folding wrinkles. Map presents toning and marginal folding and one tear to lower quadrant.A Very Good, highly decorative eighteenth century set of this very desireable printing.Featured Sets.
