About This Item

New York and London: Harper & Brothers, 1930. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. A. B. Walker. 12mo. 264 pages. Hardcover bound in black quarter cloth with yellow and black patterned paper-covered boards. Moderate rubbing and wear to the binding. Corners bumped. Inner hinges secure. Lacks the dust jacket, but the front flyleaf of the jacket is laid in loosely. The copyright dates is 1928 but the code on the copyright page of "A-E" denotes a January, 1930 printing. Stated twelfth printing on the copyright page. Written in rural "Negro dialect", even though Bradford was white. Bradford (1896-1948) was born in Tennessee and died in Louisiana.
