Two volumes finely bound in unsigned red morocco, the covers with triple rules in gilt, the backs with floral gilt decorations, marbled end papers with wide intricate gilt dentelles, tops gilt, Very Good Plus, rear cover of Vol. I darkened, tiny rubs at corners. With the original publisher's mauve cloth with gilt titles and decoration to spines and uppers bound in at rear of both volumes. Uncommon in such lovely fine binding. . First Edition. Morocco. Very Good Plus. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
