(Cherry Valley): Cherry Valley Editions, 1979. Softcover. Near Fine. First edition, wrappered issue. A little rubbing, near fine. A nice association copy, Inscribed to publisher Coburn Britton utilizing the printed subtitle: "Love & [Other Effects] for Coby, Charles Henri. NYC 24 x. 79". Additionally Signed in full beneath his author photo at the rear. Ford was a Mississippi-born poet who along with Britton, was part of a (largely) gay literary and artistic community that included his sister the actress Ruth Ford, authors Glenway Wescott and Carl Van Vechten, publisher Monroe Wheeler, artists Paul Cadmus and Pavel Tchelitchew, Lincoln Kirstein, George Balanchine, photograther George Platt Lynes, Julien Levy, Djuna Barnes, Orson Welles, and others. One of 900 wrappered copies, there were also 100 hardbound copies.
