Boston: Little Brown and Company, 1944. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Winston Churchill's rousing and inspiring speeches, broadcasts and addresses of 1943. Book is tight and bright with minor wear and some slight rubbing to boards. Jacket shows rubbing to back, some chipping on top and bottom of spine which also has some light sun fading. A significant tear on front cover is approximately 4" long, but jacket is intact. Some wear along corners and edges. There are bands of yellowing on page edges, perhaps from difference in quality of paper used on different sections.

Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing and faint marking to boards. Notable tanning to board edges and spine, which has mild crushing to ends. Sticker to rear board.

Light foxing to the edges of the text block, else the book is in very good condition. The original dustwrapper is present, but is in poor condition (some rubbing and staining, edges chipped and torn with some loss). The dustwrapper has now been put in a mylar cover to protect it.

Churchill's war speeches, containing Churchill's speeches from 1943. Condition is very good. The blue cloth binding is clean and tight with sharp corners, bright spine gilt, and only light shelf wear to extremities. The contents are respectably bright with no previous ownership marks. Spotting is primarily confined to the first and final leaves and the page edges. In this fourth volume of Here the oratory takes a more positive tone as Churchill and the Allies begin to anticipate victory.
