About This Item

Milano: Società degli editori degli Annali Universali delle Scienze e dell'Industria, 1832-34. Reference: Gamba 2626. Very Good. 20 cm; 5 volumes. Lacks the facsimile autograph letter and the portrait (present in few copies). Bound in original publisher's printed wraps with decorative border, untrimmed. Nineteenth-century library stamp on title pages. Spines chipped and perishing at ends, yet set is sound.

Posthumous collection of poetry, prose and letters of the literary figure whose drama, verse and criticism loomed large between the 18th and 19th centuries.

About Rodger Friedman Rare Book Studio

Rodger Friedman Rare Book Studio owes its name and its inspiration to the traditional Italian studio bibliografico. These small antiquarian bookshops, typically run by individuals who combine deep scholarship with a love of the printed object, remind us that underlying the words "study" and "studio" is the Latin term for zeal and devotion, studium. Since 1993, my goal has been to match discerning collectors with extraordinary books and manuscripts.
