New York: Community Relations Service, 1947. Pamphlet. Four-panel brochure, very good; 7x8.5 inches. Reprinted from Real Life Comics, March 1947 (though contents are textual, not in comic book format). This stand-alone version not found in OCLC as of August 2022. Dramatic narrative of the incident in which the Jewish physicist Lou Slotin stopped a nuclear reaction during a lab accident at Los Alamos, saving his colleagues but dying in the process. The Community Relations Service published materials to foster better relations between ethnic groups. Schachner was trained as a lawyer and wrote science fiction; these two interests were most keenly combined in his novel "Space Lawyer.
