Special Printing commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ottmar Mergenthaler,1854-1954, inventor of the linotype machine which of course radically changed the printing business. Book is a 63 page history with illustrations and detailed time line, laid in compliments card of Martin M. Reed, President of Merigenthaler Linotype Company in 1954 Fine, hardcover with illustration of his printing machine in gilt on front board, tiltes on spine in gilt, cardboard prentation case included, Fine except someone wrote book title on one edge, string clasp still present. Also laid in article about linotype machines. Very presentable copy with association. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
