Guildford And Esher: Billing and Sons. Good with no dust jacket. [1937]. First Edition. Hardcover. Xiii, [1], 328 pages, 2 unnumbered leaves of plates. No title page, as published. Spine says "Ne Oublie," an inner leaf has "Pages from the Notebook" and the front cover has "Inveni Fontem" in the squares. No date but 1937. Printer from rear colophon. Octavo. Cream cloth spine with blue title is a bit age darkened, especially at the top. Hard paper covers in beige with blue pen and ink fountains in squares, minor normal age to the covers. Interior is lightly toned but otherwise unmarked. Quite scarce, OCLC. 47734342. Dame Agnes Jekyll, DBE (née Graham; 12 October 1861 – 28 January 1937) was a British artist, writer and philanthropist. The daughter of William Graham, Liberal MP for Glasgow (1865–1874) and patron of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, sister-in-law of the famous gardener. A collection of aphorisms, poems, short essays, and quotations that Jekyll enjoyed. Collected by herself and edited by her daughters and printed as a memorial to their mother the year of her death. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 328 pages .
