UK: Brockhampton Press, 1954. Book. Fair. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. This is a valuable and permanent record of one of the great mountaineering adventures of the twentieth century. With over 150 pictures, most of which were published for the first time in this book, with all the important photographs taken on the final assault and from the summit by Sir Edmund Hilary. The boards show shelf-wear to its edges and the top and base of the spine with bumps to the corners and light tanning. The front paste-down, flyleaf ,half-title page ,title-page and foreword page shows light foxing, has does the rear paste-down and end-paper . The D/J although intact shows heavy wear to all its edges and corners, it also has small tears and chips and is discoloured . PLEASE NOTE; International economy shipping is by sea and may take upto 90 days to arrive..
