This is Volume XIII of the twenty-four volume Wayside Edition of the Complete Works of Nathaniel Hawthorne, with Introductory Notes by George Parsons Lathrop. Vol 1 of Our Old Home, and English Note-Books. Burgundy cloth, very clean and unmarked, spine lightly sunned and lettering is not visible; corners scuffed, spine ends frayed. Inner hinge cracked with loose leafs from pp 98-123. Frontis: illustration of "A London Suburb", tissue protected. Title page with illustration of the Old Home. Many pages remain uncut on the top edge and a few have short tear where it looks like someone tried to open the top edge without cutting properly. All edges rough cut. Pages are lightly age-toned, very clean and unmarked. A very nice old volume. No old book odor. 230 pages. 7.75 x 5.25 inches. Publisher: New York. Houghton, Mifflin & Co., 1884.
