Boards have beveled edges and are scuffed at their extremities. 398 pp. Dark brown ep's have fon and are dated 1927. Also fon stamped on top right of Title Page. Book is tight and square. Verso of dedication:" Fun is the most conservative element of society, and it ought to be cherished and encouraged by all lawful means. People never plot mischief when they are merry. Laughter is an enemy to malice, a foe to scandal and a friend to every virtue. It promotes good temper, enlivens the heart and brightens the intellect." A great reason to buy this book! About Lower Beverley Better Books
An online bookstore that just grew from a combination of a love of books, a desire to save them from landfill and an inability to bypass yard sales. A considerable percentage of my inventory is signed editions. I also take pride in my Canadiana catalogue.
